PROBABLE CAUSE is a high-energy cover band that plays modern rock, classic rock, and everything in-between.

Performing with the same enthusiasm, energy, musicianship as the original bands, our goal is to entertain.

All the members have traveled the US playing everywhere from California to New York performing at nightclubs, concerts, festivals, and corporate and private events. With astonishing accuracy, we re-create the sights, sounds and personalities of the rock’s most popular acts. Led Zeppelin, Foreigner, Journey, Van Halen, Queen, U2, AC/DC, Def Leppard and Bon Jovi, just to name a few.

Mike Anderson - Vocal

Mike Anderson began singing at age 11. He began singing in Catholic school choir always being called out to do solo vocal performances, which continued on through high school. After high school and military service, Anderson set out in search of his true love, hard rock/ metal and began performing in bands in the LA area; Moronic Dogs, Sister Suffering, NME, Stockyard, The Blair Licks Project, Deaddrop & Mind Chain to name a few, and from 2001 - 2009 was fronting the hard rock /metal band Thirty Round Clip.

Mike feels he has truly found a home now, with Probable Cause, and is grateful to be able to play with, “the best musicians I’ve ever been in a band with.” Mike has also branched out and explored his other love, blues, and has done numerous minor stints throughout the years performing with blues bands. Anderson is an energetic, powerful and dynamic performer who truly comes alive onstage; his natural environment.

With an engaging, mesmerizing stage presence and soaring, in your face vocals, Mike Anderson ups the ante for rock-n-roll frontmen.

Mike Robson - Guitar

Mike R. originally took up the guitar to be cool and meet girls. At 12 years old this seemed like a good plan. Little did he know that his little plan would change his life forever. His attempt to be cool turned into a love for music and by the time he was 15, he couldn’t get enough. While all his friends were out discovering the party scene on the weekends, he was at home discovering the brilliance of Led Zeppelin through the guitar playing of Jimmy Page.

Fast forward a couple years, and he went to school for music. Since then he has been performing nonstop. He is truly blessed! His love affair with music and the guitar has given him the opportunity to meet and perform with numerous gifted musicians and Probable Cause is at the top of the list. Individually they are all world-class players; but beyond that they are world-class people as well. "Together we pay tribute to our musical heroes with all the passion and precision that made them icons of the industry."

Al Lay - Bass

Al has been playing bass non-stop since his teens; being influenced by "Everyone & everything" musical. In his time, he has jammed with Black Sabbath, played & toured in a rap-rock band he co-founded called Sonny Bones, and has performed all styles of music including Rock, Punk, Metal, Soul, Funk, R&B, Jazz & Country just to name a few.

Now, as the bassist for PROBABLE CAUSE, he is thrilled to be able to perform songs by some of his favorite artists alongside his fellow bandmates.

Don Ghio - Drums

Don started his love affair with music at a very early age. His parents took note of this and had him playing drums by age seven. After high school, he submersed himself in the Northern California music seen, gigging throughout the Monterey Bay, Santa Cruz, Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Reno Nevada and everywhere in-between. Don states "There's nothing like a thousand gigs to get your chops up."

His love of 70's music has influenced his playing in many ways, from the session players like Jim Keltner, Gary Mallabar and Jeff Pocaro, to the rock guys like Steve Smith, Cozy Powell and Leonard Haze. These days Don is applying that influence and experience with "Probable Cause." "Playing with the guys is great," he says, "I get to play a lot of the music I grew up on with great players....and I get to play it heavy!"
